JUNE 16th, 2025! THIS MONDAY!!!!! The Kickstarter for book 2 launches this Monday, and I'm so nervous, afraid and excited, as well!! As many of you know, a good start makes all the difference for a successful kickstarter campaign, with that in mind, I've decided to give a special gift to everyone kind enough to pledge in the first 3 days! Hello, my wonderful phamily!
You're probably asking yourselves why this Kickstarter is taking so long (I have been anyway)....well, the main reason is that I have been struggling and STRUGGLING with the video! At first, the setting was simple, I was sitting in my studio, at my desk, but it felt so boring and didn't fit the feeling of the book, ya know?
I have spent an entire month failing at this and i have almost a hundred videos on my phone of these failed attempts and then I finally broke down in tears, I'm embarrassed to say, bc I felt like just couldn't do it...but then inspiration struck me..... It just needed to be more theatrical!
I have a background in props and set dressing, so I put my skills to use, sourced props and created a scene! Now I'm finally into it, and we are shooting this video today and tomorrow. And I'm excited to do it, now! What a good set and costuming can do for a girl's confidence is amazing!
The date for the Kickstarter launch is now officially June 16h!!!!

I'm sure it is not surprising to hear that the tariffs are a big problem for this project. I'm proceeding as normal for now and shooting for an end of April/beginning-of-May launch date, but if the tariffs are raised by another 50% (bringing it to 70%) for China, as was threatened this morning, I will need to postpone and completely rethink what the plan is. For now, I have a locked price with PrintNinja, and I hope to be able just go ahead as normal and everything will just work out. I will post about any changes to that plan here and on my other social media platforms.
